I've been testing the Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer for the last week and a half or so and I have been very impressed at how it has performed under different foundations. Earlier this week I took a photo 3.5 hours after I had applied my makeup:
I'm wearing Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in 05, set with the same Koh Gen Doh powder I've been using to set my foundation while I've been testing this primer. You can see that I'm not shiny at all (which is GREAT for me) and my skin looks as smooth as my skin ever looks.
Today we went to the grocery store (we're only running small errands together right now but considering those are the only times I get out of the house I feel a full face of makeup is perfectly appropriate) and I tested the Napoleon Perdis primer under Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet + in who the hell knows because the color isn't on the bottle.
At about the same time as when I took the photo above (the 3.5 hour mark) my skin looked like this:
Again - no shine, my skin looks smooth, and my pores aren't accentuated (my major skin concern).
The only thing that would keep me from buying a full-size version of this primer is the price point. At $59 for the full-size version, this is a very pricy product.
Overall: 17/20 or 85%
